Craft Craze

Gearing up for a Spring Boutiqe AND trying to get a website started... am I crazy?
A little overwhelmed to say the least. I've been trying new things and having a great time learning and growing in my sewing. I've been practicing with some pillowcases and excess fabric until I get my skills polished, it's been fun!
This is a Pillowcase Dress. I'm sure all the Mothers of the
70's have perfected this. As for my generation this is a work of art!  It's an easy project that's not too overwhelming and gives the new sewer a sense of acomplishment in a short period of time!  A boost of confidence and a cute dress all in about an hour!
I will embellish the dress with some pretty flowers or decorative trim and I'm sure one of my nieces will love it!

February Fun

Still a little frazzled not being able to figure out this blog, I press on. Already the 2nd month of the new year and I'm not sure what I did with the 1st...    Sew on Sewer!  I'm still on the apron train trying to get those single gals ready for marriage and the housewife pleasing her hubby with the delicious meals she will be making in style. Let's get cookin' Ladies. Afterall, as Grandma always said, "The way to a man's heart is through is stomach!"  I agree. As the new year has started I have made hubby those happy meals minus the hormoned meats, chemical filled treats, and the MSG that we have determined DOES make everything taste better but will not keep you around long enough to enjoy it. Sew... come get your order in for an apron and a towel and get ready to whip up something fabulous!

Back to the Blog!

Back to the Blog!
Back to the Blog!  Still trying to figure this out, feel free to add comments or send e-mails with any input you may have. Back to the sewing table as well. It's a new year and I have a lot of fun ideas to share with you all.  I'm considering a website to show off my goodies...not sure where that's at right now. I'm going to show off a few items that you ladies have requested and suggested. Not sure if I will do an upcoming sale... would love input on that as well. As the rain came I stayed inside with our little heater going, some hot tea and the machine ready to work. It has been a struggle to get inspired with the dreary weather, but I plugged away. The machines have given me some trouble and I have to get one to the shop...we'll see how much that sets me back. I keep pressing on in hopes that these cheery little birdies and the spring fabrics will keep my spirits high.

Getting Sew Inspired....

Christmas Decorations light up my home and the smell of a crockpot meal creates the yummy aroma anyone would love to come home to. Now I've gotta get to sewing..   Great Grandma has left the legacy of a proud seamstress and I long to fill her shoes.  What a great prize she left me...her sweet Sewing box!  I will cherish the treasures I have found within and hope to create something fantastic with her old needles and yarn. Wish me luck!

Craft Boutique

The Craft Boutique was a wonderful success. We had a wonderful time drinking hot apple cider and eating yummy treats while sharing our latest adventures. I was so blessed to see the women come out and support families in need. With the proceeds we were able to buy Christmas gifts and food for children in need this Christmas season. I was so blessed to use the gifts God has given me to help others. Thanks to all who participated. Can't wait to see you at the next one December 12th.
A warm scarf for the chilly winter days to come. These flowers were so fun to make. Anyone who knows me, or has been to my house, knows I LOVE COLOR! These are so pretty and show that you don't have to look drab or dull to stay warm. Add one of these to a T-shirt and some jeans and you're ready to go!
Coasting along the day with my coffee, I saw this cute idea in a magazine and had to try it. I'm trying to teach myself to embroider, it adds the extra touch to the cottage style projects. Little flower coasters...great idea!
Sassy Cook shows off her sexy apron. Miss Melinda makes anything look good! Thanks for entertaining us. She makes any party fun with her amazing sense of humor and sassy style.
3 Lovely Nicholes! I know was a 4th, where did she go? These pretty girls show off their fun finds at the Boutique. It was a joy to see the ladies having fun, enjoying great conversation and even making new friends. I can't say it enough...I am so blessed to have so many wonderful women in my life.
