Resurrection of Whimzy Linzy!!

Welcome Friends and Family,

After many years,  I've decided to find my old blog and jump back on again!
Since my previous posts, much has changed with technology giving us access to sites like Pinterest and Craftsy boosting my creativity meter.  I've picked up some new hobbies along the way and would love to share my journey with you all.

I welcome your comments, requests and input.
                                                                        -Lindsay

Dashing Little Man Ensemble

My sweet Cousin Amanda called with a request for a onesie and some shoes for her sweet little Daniel.
I made a few little gifts for her baby shower, she loved them, and is back for more!  As I rummaged through my closet of goodies, I found some great vintage fabric that will look dashing on this little man.
A Plaid tie onesie and matching Shoes should make a great Easter Ensemble.
The baby shoe pattern I had wasn't quite my favorite so I found a tutorial that worked really well and did my best to follow directions- which is not my strong suit. I always manage to tweak or rearrange something. Sometimes it leads to a disaster and other times an innovative idea that gives me the name "Whimzy Linzy" Enjoy!

Watchin Rachael Ray this morning, her guest was so fun I had to post.  She is a DIY Diva, as I like to call her.  What a cute idea to make some "edgy gloves" from socks!
Pretty creative gal, hope you enjoy the inspiration.

Gearing up for the Spring Boutique, I am turning into a machine! Cutting out cute little birdies is so much fun and adds some cheer to any kitchen. A cute towel and a fun apron make you feel special while cooking a family meal

Still working out the kinks with this blog, not sure why I can't see any comments... would love feedback on that (wink wink). I have started a Facebook page for Whimzy Linzy, I think that will be easier to update than this blog. So, become friends, and tell your friends about Whimzy Linzy, encouraging women to be cute and domestic!

April Showers

Being Showered with LOVE this April is making life so special. Not lots of sewing going on here, but lots of warm family gatherings have made my heart so joyous. My plants are growing and so are all the children around me, I just love the coming of Spring. All of the hermets and winter time haters, come alive with the lovely weather and sunny days. Tip of the Day ladies, *Learn to prioritize! As if that is my cup of tea...uhhhh, well.... I'm still learning. Let's get our work done to make our homes happy and minimize the stress. Like Mom always told us, "Get your chores done first, and then you can go out and play" Guess that carries over into adulthood! yikes. Well, lets all pray we can be good girls today and get our chores done!
Started a few dresses to get the spring collection going. Have to make some hair accessories to match. Where does the time go, I must say "NO" to all of invitations to coffee?  Saying "NO" can be difficult, but I MUST GET TO WORK, May is coming quickly!

Blessing leads to Motivation

My brain is a bit scattered with all the goings on of starting a website, gearing up for a few Boutiques and trying not to make my husband crazy by having fabric strewn all over the upstairs "craft" room which he often uses as an office. I call it the craft room (wink wink) but it is technically our office with a TON of craft projects ALL OVER. My hubby is so wonderful, he came home one day with a brand new Rowenta Iron! How blessed am I! Belive it or not, crafty gals, an Iron can make all the difference. With the Iron came a new found boost of energy that will hopefully subside the coffee cravings for a bit. My Grandma said to me once, about her new iron, "it runs like a new cadillac" too funny! I think of her everytime I pull out my new "mercedes"
